Mini Rugby - Practice - Sun. Jan. 31

Hope everyone had a great practice last weekend. Great to see new rugby players out!

Mini Rugby will be every Sunday morning from 10am – 11:30am on the field & upstairs in the clubhouse following with hot dogs & juice. If you know of any other friends who would like to play mini rugby, please invite them out to Sunday’s practice.

Please also remember that players are required to have mouthguards. And need to dress appropriately for the weather.

Please make sure you get your rugby registration forms, $60 registration fee, copy of birth certificate & care card to Geri Grigg or Erin Agostini this weekend. Once the registrations have all been received, we will be eligible to attend the Mini Rugby Jamborees.

Who still needs rugby kit: jersey, shorts, socks, mouthguards? Please let me know what you need & the size jersey for your child. The club has ordered more kit to arrive shortly.

January 31st – home practice @ Burnaby Lake 10am

February 7th – home practice @ Burnaby Lake 10am

February 21st – Mini Rugby Jamboree at Bayside, South Surrey

February 28th – home practice @ Burnaby Lake 10am

March 7th – Mini Rugby Jamboree at Rowers, Vancouver

Spring Break 2010 is different for each School District –

* Burnaby & North Vancouver – March 6-14
* Surrey – March 6-21
* TriCities – March 25-April 5

March 14th – TBA depending on player availability due to Spring Break (please let the coaches know if you child is available)

March 21st – TBA depending on player availability due to Spring Break (please let the coaches know if you child is available)

March 28th – Mini Rugby Jamboree at Capilanos, North Vancouver

April 4th – Easter Weekend, no mini rugby

April 11th – home practice @ Burnaby Lake 10am

April 18th – BC Rugby Final Mini Rugby Jamboree at UBC, Vancouver

April 25th – BLRC Mini Rugby year-end party (more details to follow)

For those new to mini rugby, we have 2 seasons in Mini Rugby : Fall (from September to late November) & Spring (from end of January to mid-April).

We are looking for parents help on coordinating the Parent Social (date TBA). Please talk to Geri, Trish or D’Alice on Sunday or email us if you would like to help out. Thanks. This is a fun social time for the rugby parents to meet!!!!

See you this Sunday morning at 10am at Burnaby Lake. Bring your school friends & neighbours along who would like to see what rugby is all about – attached is the BLRC mini rugby flyer to give to friends. Don’t forget mouthguards, water bottles & lots of energy!
