Mini Rugby - Team Bonding - Snowshoeing at Grouse Mountain

There will be no practice on Sunday, December 6th. Instead we will be venturing out to Grouse Mountain for a team bonding Snowshoe Tour.

If you are still interested, please let me know no later than Friday morning. As this will alter final costs for people, and I need to have the free snowshoe rentals organized. If a player is interested; but a parent is not able to make it, please let me know, and I'll see about arranging rides.

Timeline for Sunday:
9:00-9:15am: Meet at the Base of the mountain - out in front of Starbucks - Closer to 9am would be best, this will give you time to get layered up, and fill out some rental forms.
9:30am: Board the Skyride
9:45am: Meet our Snowshoe Guide at the Firepit by the skate pond
10:00am-12:00pm: Guided Snowshoe Tour - includes getting rentals
12:00pm onward: Explore the mountain as you wish - skating, visit Santa with Mrs Claus, and his reindeer, etc.
**If you wish to leave right after the snowshoeing - my best estimate would be that you would make the 12:30 Skyride at the latest - getting you to the parking lot by 12:38.

Admissions (everyone coming up must pay, unless you have a membership or pass of your own. This is a discounted rate).

* Adult: $35.86 taxes inc.
* Child (5-12): $13.18 taxes inc.

Snowshoeing (1 private guide for a 2 hr tour): The tour itself is a casual tour, and we can go as slow or as fast as we want. It is easy enough even for the youngest players. The 2 hours also takes into acount 15-20 minutes of getting the snowshoe rentals.

* $157.50 taxes inc divided by the number of people snowshoeing.
* The number of guides we have would depend on the number of people interested in the snowshoe. If we have a large group (20+ with a large number of children) we would add in another guide for another $157.50.

SnowShoes:

* I've arranged for FREE snowshoe rentals for us.

December 10th - Annual Micky Draw - Adults Only - Reverse Micky Draw - Bring a micky and have yourself entered into the draw. Periodically names drawn will win 5 mickies, big winner of the night usually walks away with 15-20 mickies. For more details email me.
December 13th - Burnaby Lake Mini Rugby Christmas party & Parent Social (more details to follow)

For those new to mini rugby, the winter break is December & January. We will start practicing at the end of January weather dependent.

We are looking for parents help on organizing the kid’s Christmas party & parent social for Sunday December 13th. Please talk to Geri, Trish or D’Alice on Sunday or email us if you would like to help out. Thanks. This is a fun family time for the rugby players as well as parents!!!!
