Mini Rugby Practice - Sun. Nov. 15th & Jamboree Sun. Nov. 22

Today, Sunday November 15th, there is a Mini Rugby practice at 10am @ Burnaby Lake. We are going to brave the weather, since we have a jamboree next weekend. Please have the players dress appropriately. If it does get to cold and wet out, we will run a shorter practice, so long as the players stay focused.

Jamboree, Sunday November 22nd

We will be attending a Mini Rugby Jamboree hosted by the BC Rugby at UBC Wolfsen Fields next Sunday, November 22nd from 9:30am -12:30pm.

Games start at 10am, please arrive at UBC by 9:30am to warm-up. All BLRC mini players will be getting games in their age groups. Jamborees are lots of fun… please email Trish to confirm if your child will be attending – we need to know numbers. Thanks.

If you need a ride, please email us before Saturday to make arrangements.

Burnaby Lake Mini Rugby “Updated” schedule for Fall 2009:

- November 15th - home practice @ Burnaby Lake 10am

- November 22nd - BCRU Mini Rugby Jamboree at UBC, Vancouver

- November 29th - last home practice before the winter break

- December 6th - Snowshoeing at Grouse Mountain? (more details to follow - check you emails at the beginning of the week)

- December 13th - Burnaby Lake Mini Rugby Christmas party & Parent Social (more details to follow)

Rugby kit $60: jersey, shorts, socks, mouthguards will be available at our next practice on Sunday November 1st @ Burnaby Lake. Please talk to D’Alice or Blair.

For those new to mini rugby, the winter break is December & January. We will start practicing at the end of January weather dependent.

We are looking for parents help on organizing the kid’s Christmas party & parent social for Sunday December 13th. Please talk to Geri, Trish or D’Alice on Sunday or email us if you would like to help out. Thanks. This is a fun family time for the rugby players as well as parents!!!!

Bring your school friends & neighbours along who would like to see what rugby is all about to our next practice on Sunday November 15th – attached is the BLRC mini rugby flyer to give to friends. Don’t forget mouthguards, water bottles & lots of energy!
