Five BLRC Ladies Representing Canada

Congratulations to Burnaby Lake ladies Corinne Jacobsen, Kim Donaldson, Maria Gallo, Anna Schnell and Julia Suguwara for being selected to join the Canadian Women's team in France........

Five Burnaby Lake Rugby Club players have been selected to represent the National Senior Women’s Team in their upcoming tour to France. Corinne Jacobsen, Kim Donaldson, Maria Gallo and Anna Schnell, all current players with the club will be joined by Julia Sugawara who is currently playing in her second season with the London Saracens. The team with compete in two matches against France while on tour from November 11th – 22nd. The culmination of the tour will be when they face France as the curtain raiser in the Stade de France before the French men take on Samoa. The National Women’s team has finished fourth in the last two World Cups, as a result of the French women, and therefore are relishing the opportunity to take them on, on their home soil.
