Congratulations BLRC National Women

Congratulations to the five players and one coach that attended the recent Can-Am tournament in Glendale (Denver), CO (June 20th to 28th). Burnaby had great representation with five players and one coach.

Congratulations to the five players and one coach that attended the recent Can-Am tournament in Glendale (Denver), CO (June 20th to 28th). Burnaby had great representation with five players and one coach. In the picture from left to right Maria Gallo, Julia Sugawara, Kim Donaldson, Corinne Jacobsen, Anna Schnell and John (Jinxy) Long. Canada was successful in both matches against the US, winning 10-7 in the ‘A’ game and 25-17 in the full test match. Selections will be announced shortly for the upcoming Nations Cup happing in Oakville, ON. The National Senior Women’s Team coaches will be using performances from both Can-Am as well as the National Women’s League championships to help in making selections for Nations Cup. This year’s Nations Cup will see 5 teams competing for the title including Canada, England, France, South Africa and the United States. This competition is being held at Appleby College from August 10th to 22nd.
